This extract combines Erythrina mulungu with full-spectrum CBD (cannabidiol) in a 1:1 ratio. Developed in-house, the formulation brings together a South American rainforest botanical and a hemp-derived cannabinoid extract in a single product. The active compounds are extracted using ultrasonic extraction equipment, a modern technique that uses sound wave cavitation to break down plant cell walls and release compounds more thoroughly than conventional methods. The extract is preserved in a 50% alcohol base.

The Two Components

Erythrina mulungu is a tree native to the rainforests of Brazil, growing up to 14 metres with distinctive red-orange flowers. Mulungu bark and leaf preparations have been part of Amazonian traditional herbalism for generations, with erythrinan alkaloids as the compounds of primary interest. The CBD component is a full-spectrum decarboxylated extract from hemp, meaning it retains the natural range of cannabinoids and terpenes found in the plant. Decarboxylation converts the raw acid forms (CBDA, THCA) into their active counterparts (CBD, THC), with the final product containing negligible THC.

Combining an Amazonian botanical with a hemp cannabinoid extract is unusual in the market. The 1:1 ratio provides an equal contribution from both components.
