4 Elements: The Gentle Mexicana Truffle
The 4 Elements is a Psilocybe mexicana truffle, one of the mildest psilocybin sclerotia available and the natural starting point for customers new to truffles. P. mexicana has a deep place in ethnomycological history: it was the species from which Albert Hofmann first isolated psilocybin in 1958, working with material collected during R. Gordon Wasson's ground-breaking visits to Mazatec mushroom ceremonies in Oaxaca, Mexico. The sclerotia form of this species produces small, compact nuggets with a relatively gentle psilocybin and psilocin content.
Mild and Approachable
The 4 Elements sits at the accessible end of the psilocybin spectrum. Its relatively lower psilocybin and psilocin content compared to varieties like the Maestro or Wakan Tanka makes it the right recommendation for customers who are cautious, curious, or simply prefer a lighter experience. This is where most truffle journeys begin.
Vacuum-sealed with a shelf life of at least 30 days at 2-4 degrees C. All NLNaturals truffles are produced in Dutch facilities under controlled conditions, ensuring consistent quality across every batch.
Your Highest-Volume Truffle
In most smartshops, the Mexicana truffle is the single highest-volume seller. New customers start here. That makes stock management critical: running out of your entry-level truffle means losing the first sale that leads to all future truffle purchases. Keep stock levels high and pair with the Microdosing pack for customers who want to start even gentler.
The 4 Elements contains Psilocybe mexicana sclerotia, the mildest truffle variety available. Its gentle psilocybin profile makes it ideal for customers who are new to psilocybin truffles and want a manageable introduction.
Vacuum-sealed, the 4 Elements has a shelf life of at least 30 days when stored at 2-4 degrees C. Keep in a refrigerator and check harvest dates regularly. Browse all varieties in our truffle range.
