High Hawaiians Magic Truffles | Strong Psilocybin

Psilocybe tampanensis sclerotia with upper-moderate psilocybin content. A classic in Dutch smartshop history, descending from the single wild specimen found near Tampa, Florida in 1977. Strong name recognition drives consistent repeat purchases.

High Hawaiians: The Classic Tampanensis Truffle

The High Hawaiians are Psilocybe tampanensis sclerotia, a species that holds a unique place in Dutch truffle history. P. tampanensis was first identified near Tampa, Florida in 1977 by mycologist Steven Pollock. Only a single wild specimen was ever found, and all cultivated P. tampanensis today descends from that original collection. The species' reliable sclerotia production made it a cornerstone of legal psilocybin truffle production in the Netherlands when mushroom fruiting bodies were banned in 2008.

Upper-Moderate Psilocybin Profile

The High Hawaiians contain psilocybin and psilocin at levels that place them in the upper-moderate range, sitting between mild Mexicana varieties and the premium Shambhala-type truffles. The sclerotia are dense, compact and typically lighter in colour than the higher-tier varieties. This is a truffle with genuine historical provenance and a natural character that many experienced users consider distinctive among the available varieties.

Vacuum-sealed for a shelf life of at least 30 days at 2-4 degrees C. All NLNaturals truffles are produced in Dutch facilities under controlled conditions.

A Name That Sells

The High Hawaiians have strong name recognition built over years in the Dutch smartshop market. Customers who have been buying truffles for a while know this name and actively request it. Stock them as a mid-to-upper tier option between the 4 Elements and the Wakan Tanka for customers ready to move beyond the entry level.

What species are the High Hawaiians?

Psilocybe tampanensis, first discovered in 1977 near Tampa, Florida. All cultivated P. tampanensis today derives from that single wild collection. It is a different species from the P. mexicana and P. atlantis truffles in the range.

Where do the High Hawaiians sit in the truffle range?

Upper-moderate. They sit between the mild 4 Elements (Mexicana) and the premium Wakan Tanka, making them a good next step for customers who found the entry-level truffles too gentle.
