B. Caapi Caupuri Vine - Paste 30:1 | Concentrated

Concentrated 30:1 paste of Banisteriopsis caapi var. Caupuri from Peru. Wild-harvested knot-vine variety with harmine, harmaline and THH alkaloids. Compact format with 2-3 year shelf life.

Caupuri Caapi in Concentrated 30:1 Paste

This paste is a 30:1 concentrate of Banisteriopsis caapi var. Caupuri, a distinctive variety recognisable by the prominent knot-like nodes along its vine. The Caupuri variety grows in the Peruvian Amazon and contains the beta-carboline alkaloids harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine (THH) characteristic of all Caapi varieties. The knotted vine structure makes Caupuri one of the most visually distinctive and sought-after Caapi cultivars.

Processing and Format

The paste is produced from fresh-harvested wild Caupuri vine processed by caboclo partners (local forest-dwelling communities) in the Amazon region. The 30:1 ratio means 30 kilograms of fresh vine yield approximately 1 kilogram of paste. This concentration makes the paste a remarkably space-efficient format compared to shredded vine, while preserving the full alkaloid spectrum. The paste retains its alkaloid content for 2-3 years when stored properly in a cool, dry place away from light.

For Ceremony Suppliers

Caupuri paste is valued by ceremony facilitators and ethnobotanical therapeuten for its concentrated format and the particular reputation of the Caupuri variety. Pair it with our Caupuri Shredded Vine to offer both formats, or display alongside the Tukanaka and Ourinho paste varieties for a complete Caapi paste range.

What does the 30:1 concentration ratio mean?

The 30:1 ratio means 30 kilograms of fresh Caupuri vine are processed into approximately 1 kilogram of paste. This concentrates the harmine, harmaline and THH alkaloids into a compact format with a shelf life of 2-3 years.

What distinguishes Caupuri from other Caapi varieties?

Caupuri is recognisable by its distinctive knot-like nodes along the vine. It comes from Peru, while Tukanaka (red, Brazil) and Ourinho (golden, Brazil) represent different cultivars with their own characteristics.
