Forca Feminina is a blend unique to the Yawanawa people, crafted exclusively by the spiritual warrior women of the tribe. This is not simply a rapé made by women. It is a preparation that embodies feminine ceremonial energy in every aspect, from the intention behind its creation to the selection and processing of its botanical components, which include Tsunu ash and a carefully chosen herbal base.

Mawa Yuxyn and the Gregório River

Led by the shaman Waxy Yawanawa, the Mawa Yuxyn centre is located on one of the most sacred sites of the Yawanawa people, within the indigenous territory of the Gregório River in Acre, Brazil. Forca Feminina originates from this spiritual centre and reflects the revival of feminine ceremonial leadership within Yawanawa culture.

Since the 1990s, the Yawanawa have undergone a significant cultural renaissance, reclaiming practices that colonial pressure had marginalised. The emergence of blends like Forca Feminina is part of that story. The women who create this rapé hold a specific ceremonial role within the community, and their knowledge is transmitted through a distinct feminine lineage of spiritual practice. This is not a marketing distinction. It reflects a genuine cultural reality within Yawanawa society.

Each batch is prepared with ceremonial intention at the Mawa Yuxyn centre. The preparation process itself is considered ceremonial, accompanied by saites (ceremonial songs) specific to the feminine tradition. Natural variation between batches reflects the handmade, intentional nature of the process.
