Ourinho Caapi in 30:1 Paste
Ourinho is a variety of Banisteriopsis caapi sourced from the southern Brazilian Amazon. The name Ourinho ('little gold') refers to the golden tones found in the vine, which distinguish it immediately from the red Tukanaka and the knotted Caupuri. It shares the core beta-carboline alkaloid profile of all Caapi varieties: harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine (THH), though the relative ratios between alkaloids vary between cultivars, giving each its own character.
Wild Harvest and Concentration
The Ourinho vine is wild-harvested by caboclo partners in the Brazilian rainforest. The 30:1 paste format concentrates 30 kilograms of fresh vine into 1 kilogram of final product, preserving the alkaloid profile in a compact, shelf-stable form. The golden colouration of the source vine carries through into the finished paste. Properly stored paste retains its potency for 2-3 years, making it a practical wholesale format with minimal waste.
Complete Your Caapi Paste Selection

Ourinho translates to 'little gold' in Portuguese, referring to the distinctive golden tones found in this Banisteriopsis caapi variety. This golden colouration carries through into the finished 30:1 paste.
