Chakapa

Chakapa (shakapa) also waira (wayra), a rattle made of specific Amazonian leaves (from a plant called Pariana Bicolor). It is used by the shamans to make music while singing the Icaros. In addition, for the direction and relocation of energies during a shamanic healing. It is also an important cleansing tool for catching bath spirits during ayahuasca ceremonies, after which they blow the forest.
